Scraping the Palm for Guava is a homemade demo tape recorded in 1988. It is labeled as "recorded at Dean's, 9/88–11/88". This is not to be confused with a different 1988 tape that has circulated under the name since late 2016 which, although sharing a few tracks, is not Scraping the Palm for Guava.
