An unidentified tape informally known as The Unknown 1988 Tape is a Ween demo tape. It is commonly circulated under the title Scraping the Palm for Guava and shares a few tracks from that tape and from the demo tape Focus, but is otherwise entirely unrelated.
The demo cassette was recorded in late 1988[citation needed]. Several songs were later re-recorded for GodWeenSatan: The Oneness.
