Description and History[edit | edit source]
For the most part, The Friends EP is a collection of recordings from the fifty songs written during the La Cucaracha sessions, with the exception of the title track (a remixed version of the future La Cucaracha song "Friends" by CJ Stone and DJ VooDoo, which Gene Ween had requested after getting the idea to work with a "gay Euro DJ"[1]).
Dean Ween described the EP on his website as "the ultimate party record".[2]
