"Skycruiser" is a non-album song by Ween, released as a single in 1993.
Song Details[edit | edit source]
Recording and Composition[edit | edit source]
"Skycruiser" is in the key of D minor.
The song was likely recorded in 1992 during sessions for Chocolate and Cheese. According to Guy Heller, it was recorded at Brookridge Farms, and what sounds like a keyboard in the song is actually guitar.[1]
Alternate versions[edit | edit source]
The original 7" vinyl single from 1993 also contained a remixed version of the song titled "Cruise Control", which is almost twice as long as "Skycruiser" and features heavy reverb effects.
Live Performances[edit | edit source]
"Skycruiser" has never fully been played live, but Ween teased the song twice during the Chocolate and Cheese tour.[2]
Lyrics[edit | edit source]
Skycruiser
You're gonna fly through the night
You'll be there when the mornin' comes
To greet me with a smile
Skycruiser
Dancing across the morning sky
Beating down like sunshine
Through the clouds onto my face
Makin' the rain go away
Bring in a new day
Skycruiser
Skycruiser
Skycruiser
How did you get so high?
Will you be there tomorrow
If I need you cruiser
Skycruiser
Floating gently with the
Eyes of a madman
Makin' the rain go away
Bring in a new day
Make it easy cruiser
Skycruiser
Skycruiser
