"There's a Pig" is a song by Ween, released as a B-side on the "Voodoo Lady" single.
Song Details[edit | edit source]
"There's a Pig" is a musical homage to the style of Johnny Cash. It was probably recorded in 1992 during sessions for Chocolate and Cheese.
"There's a Pig" was played live as early as the fall of 1992, but has never been a common live Ween song. Following the Chocolate and Cheese tour, the song was not played again until 2017.[1]
Lyrics[edit | edit source]
There's a pig
On my street
He's got a gun
And he's after me
I try to run
Try to stay cool
But there's a pig
I ain't a fool
Cause this pig
He's after me
He's got my number
But I'm still free
Didn't pay the bill
Cost 20 bucks
And now s'over a hundred
And I'm outta luck
I see the pig
He's over there
Askin' round
This ain't fair
Cause this pig
He's after me
He's got my number
But I'm still free
What can I do
To get some peace
To keep the pig
Outta reach
I gotta do what's right
What I gotta do
Is get that pig
And shoot him dead
Cause this pig
He's after me
He's got my number
But I'm still free
There's this pig
On my street
He's got a gun
And he's after me
I'll shoot him dead
I'll buy a gun
I'll get the man
I'll get the man
Cause this pig
He's after me
He's got my number
But I'm still free
