Someday
"Someday" is a song by Ween. Originally a Quebec outtake, it was later released in an altered form on the 2005 odds-and-ends compilation Shinola, Vol. 1.
Song Details[edit | edit source]
"Someday" was originally recorded during demo sessions for the Quebec album. A remixed version of the song, with a different vocal take sung an octave lower, was eventually released on Shinola, Vol. 1 in 2005. Later, in 2011, the original demo version was finally released online semi-officially as part of The Caesar Demos.
Live Performances[edit | edit source]
"Someday" has been a part of Ween's regular live rotation ever since it was debuted in early 2002.[1] In live performances, Gene Ween performs the vocals an octave higher, in the style of the Quebec demo, not the Shinola version.
In addition, Gene Ween has played the song a few times at solo acoustic shows.[2] The Dean Ween Group played it once in 2015, with Fred Moore on vocals.[3]
Lyrics[edit | edit source]
Someday you will hear me sing a love song
One day I'll find a girl to call my own
Bringin' it all together
Doin' it on my own
Walkin' hand in hand like lovers
And if you wished upon the moon, then it may be one day soon
Sunday (Sunday)
Monday (Monday)
Tuesday (Tuesday)
Is pizza day, pizza day
Bringin' it all together
(Bringin' it all together)
Doin' it on my own
(Doin' it on my own)
Walkin' hand in hand like lovers
(Walkin' hand in hand like lovers)
And if you wished upon the moon, then it may be one day soon
