Eravis
Eravis is a demo tape by Ween, containing recordings from the Pure Guava sessions.
Alongside three B-sides and outtakes, the tape contains twelve of the nineteen tracks that would be released on Pure Guava as rough mixes.
Details[edit | edit source]
Eravis was compiled in spring of 1991. Some of the songs may have been recorded earlier, as the backing track for Tender Situation was used at a 1990 show in Switzerland.[2] Every track later used on Pure Guava are rough mixes of the same recordings, since The Pod and Pure Guava were both remixed from the 4-track tapes.
Big Jilm features an alternate vocal take, which was overdubbed during the mixing of Pure Guava.
The instrumental intro to Captain Fantasy Pt. 2 is often attributed in bootlegs as "A Tear For Eddie Pt. 2" - however this song doesn't exist and is just the opening to the former track.
