Song Details[edit | edit source]
Meaning[edit | edit source]
From what of the lyrics can be made out, it is a song about three pumpkins who go into the woods looking for something pretty to look at. They meet a little man with a big head who yells at them for a bit.
Recording and Composition[edit | edit source]
"Mourning Glory" is an experimental noise song with industrial influences and a spoken word vocal. All instrumentation is atonal and difficult to make out due to intense distortion.
Live Performances[edit | edit source]
"Mourning Glory" has never been played live. However, apparently Gene Ween has been known to occasionally tease some of the lyrics from the song.[1]

The official Pure Guava lyric sheet has only a single question mark in place of the lyrics for "Mourning Glory".[2]
