Song Details[edit | edit source]
Recording and Composition[edit | edit source]
"She Fucks Me" is an experimental psychedelic rock song with some folk rock influence. Due to heavy tape speed manipulation, the studio version is in the key of F major, with live performances being transposed up to G major.
The lead vocals are sung by Dean Ween.
The repeating "pork roll egg and cheese on a kaiser bun" backing vocals are sung by Gene Ween, as can be heard clearly when the track is sped up to 140% speed here:
Live Performances[edit | edit source]
"She Fucks Me" was played live as early as December 1990, nine months before its release on The Pod. Since then, it has been played at least a few times during most years of Ween. During the 1996 country tour, the song was reworked into a country version with the Shit Creek Boys, an example of which, from 10/28/1996, was officially released on the Paintin' the Town Brown album. Dean Ween said that the song "seemed to work much better with the Nashville musicians."[1] A later recording from 11/9/2003 has also been released on the DVD version of the album Live in Chicago.[2]
In addition, the song has been played live numerous times by both Gene Ween and Dean Ween individually at solo shows.[3]
