Gene Ween sings the lead vocals and Dean Ween plays guitar and drums.
Alternate Versions[edit | edit source]
A "Nice Version" appears on Squeegie. Much in the same vein as Boobs (Nice Version), this version eschews drumming in favor of a soft, relaxed sound.
Live Performances[edit | edit source]
The song appears to have only been played once, at a Trenton show in 1988[1]. A recording of this performance appears on the A-side of The Live Brain Wedgie!/Wad Excerpts.
Lyrics[edit | edit source]
"Drinktalk"
Q: Hi, um, there is a song "I Drink A Lot" and what's that all about?
A: Um, drinking... a lot. Its-its uh, well, Aaron's father who's a psychologist caught him once drinking and that was the inspiration for that song but we totally support and encourage young children to smoke crack and drink, a lot.
"I Drink A Lot"
My wife's fat, my brother's thin
I don't care, I drink a lot
All you people, live or not
I don't care, I drink a lot
Driving in my car behind the wheel
Out of commission
Suddenly, I'm a star
I don't care, I drink a lot, yeah
Watching you in confusion
Listening to jazz fusion
Slowly, slowly my mind rots
I don't care, I drink a lot
My wife's fat my brother's thin
I don't care, I drink a lot
"Nice Version"
My wife's fat, my brother's thin
I don't care, I drink a lot
All you people, live or not
I don't care, I drink a lot
Driving in my car behind the wheel
In a lady
Suddenly I'm a star
I don't care, I drink a lot, yeah!
Watching you in confusion
Listening to jazz fusion
Slowly, slowly my mind rots
I don't care, I drink a lot
My wife's fat my brother's thin
I don't care, I drink a lot
Thank you.
