Song Details[edit | edit source]

Gene Ween said in an interview that the song's musical style was inspired by ZZ Top. He explained the lyrics by saying: "I love brown gravy over open-faced sandwiches, french fries, pot roast etc. It’s a fantasy to marry the act of lovemaking with one of my favorite foodstuffs. Hot, thick brown and peppery."[2]

Lyrics[edit | edit source]

Come and see your sweet sugar daddy baby

You don't have to act like a lady

Tonight I got the keys to the city baby

And if you went home it'd sure be a pity

It's alright now baby

Makin' love in the gravy

It's alright now

Take a little puff of this love I'm givin' baby

Never gonna die, that's how I'm livin'

Body to body, belly to belly baby

Rollin' around on the bed like jelly

It's alright now baby

Makin' love in the gravy

It's alright now [3]
