Song Details[edit | edit source]

Recording and Composition[edit | edit source]

"Hello Johnny" is in the key of D# major.

The lead vocals are performed by Gene Ween.

Although "Hello Johnny" appears on The Caesar Demos, a semi-official album of Quebec demos, this song actually predates those sessions by quite a bit. According to Pat Frey, the track had a studio recording during the Chocolate & Cheese sessions. This recording has never been circulated publicly, and little is known of how it differs.

Earlier appearances[edit | edit source]

This song was streamed live on the old WeenRadio website during a special broadcast of rarities hosted by Dean Ween on July 25, 2001.[1]
