Song Details[edit | edit source]

Recording and Composition[edit | edit source]

"Touch My Tooter" is a noise/blues rock song in the key of C major. While the pitch of the live versions are consistent with the studio recording, the first chord in the verse progression is changed from Cm (sometimes Cm♭11) to C.

The lead vocals are sung by Gene Ween.

Live Performances[edit | edit source]

"Touch My Tooter" was not played live at all during the DAT-deck era.[1] However, after it was worked out with the full band on the Chocolate and Cheese tour, the song quickly became a concert staple, and has remained a common live song in almost every era of Ween.[2] A recording from 11/7–8/2003 on the Quebec tour can be heard on DVD version of the album Live in Chicago.

Lyrics[edit | edit source]

The Pure Guava lyric sheet contains official lyrics in Dean Ween's handwriting:

Buddy, why's my brain so muddy?
Why do I feel like putty
When she walks into the room?

Touch my tooter

Sonny, it ain't all milk and honey
And I don't think it's funny
When she starts to groove

Baby, ain't it lazy
Ain't it crazy
When u think it's all smooth?[3]
