Lyrics[edit | edit source]
I saw your picture in a book I read
Wearing that funny little hat on your head
I gave it to you over ten years ago
To keep you warm from the cold and snow
Now you're gone I haven't seen you since
To love another wouldn't make any sense
Those years to me look like a gift from above
My one destiny, my one true love
I'll wait as long as it takes
I'm so lonely, my heart's gonna break
Girl, you're my only remedy
I'm so sad, come on back to me
Last I heard you were down in Nepal
Climbing a mountain that's a thousand feet tall
You helped those people, and I know that it's good
I should be happy for you, I really should
Late at night, when I'm driving alone
I call you baby cause I know you're at home
Sometimes I think I should just find a new girl
Cause my baby's on the other side of the world
I'll wait as long as it takes
I'm so lonely, my heart's gonna break
Girl, you're my only remedy
I'm so sad, come on back to me
I'll wait as long as it takes
I'm so lonely, my heart's gonna break
Girl you're my only remedy
I'm so sad, come back to me
Come on back to me
I'm so sad
Come on back to me
Come on
Come on
Come on back to me
