Song Details[edit | edit source]

"Greg the Bunny" is a rejected theme song to the sitcom Greg the Bunny, which premiered in 2002.

Dean Ween wrote about the song on chocodog.com's audio page:

We were approached by the producers of this one-time public access cable show to write the theme song. In my opinion, we totally outdid ourselves. For the longest time I figured this show wasn't gonna make it to the air, but I saw an ad for it during the Super Bowl last week so I guess it's finally going to happen. They rejected this tune and decided to go with someone else's submission instead. The show will probably hit the airwaves soon, so you can compare the two selections for yourself and decide which one is better for yourself.[1]

Gene Ween played "Greg the Bunny" live at solo acoustic shows sporadically in the years after it was written, and Ween themselves even played it once on the Quebec tour.[2] Later, Gene toured with the song in 2008-2009 with the Gene Ween Band.[3]
