Gene Ween Does Billy Joel was limited to only five shows in 2015, and seven shows in 2017, all in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.[1] The shows featured Gene Ween with a full backing band. Gene himself appeared in a shirt and tie (à la Billy Joel) and sang the lead vocals, typically not playing an instrument.
